Cistercian Nunnery, built 1245 – 1248. Dissolution of the nunnery after the Reformation (1526). Subsequent use of the monastery complex by the landgrave administration and since 1821 by the district administration. The District Heritage Museum is located in the tithe barn and in the St. Mauritius Chapel.
