The Linner Gate, which was located here, was part of the fortification of the city dating from the 13th century. It got its name from the Linner Court. As recently as 1830, it was renewed by two stone gate pillars with cornices. The opening gates consisted of sturdy oak with palisades and had a width of 5.70 m and a height of 2.50 m.
