Here at the town hall was the iron ell, the official length measurement of Frankenberg, attached. Below the town hall, on the market square, the butchers sold their goods. Here was also located the 29 meters deep butcher’s well, the prisoner’s stock, and a column with neck irons and shame stones for the wrongdoers.
