Here was the Wogmühle of the knife smiths, already mentioned in 1215. It was converted into a smelting hut for the Frankenberg copper and silver mine in 1595 and later served as a “Seiger-Hütte” or “Old Hut” until 1820 for separating silver from copper. The “Old Hut” restaurant, founded here in 1913, recalls the former hut operation.
