Meyenhof
Inscription
At this location once stood the so-called Meyenhof, an imposing building erected in 1691. In the 19th century, it housed a dyeing plant and a brewery as well as a watchmaker’s shop. Later, the building was owned by a Jewish merchant, whose widow sold it to the furniture dealer Theodor Finkeldey in 1937, who then converted it into a furniture store. In 1962, it was demolished and replaced with a new construction.
