Cistercian Nunnery, built 1245 – 1248. Dissolution of the nunnery after the Reformation (1526). Subsequently, the monastery complex was used by the landgrave administration and since 1821 by the district administration. The district local history museum is located in the tithe barn and in the St. Mauritius Chapel.
